Position: Camp Health Supervisor Location: MA-Mattapoisett-02739 Full / Part Time

Camp Health Office Supervisor

Position Summary: Provide routine health care for campers and staff and respond to emergency situations requiring medical assistance.

Essential Functions:
  • Evaluating and treating campers minor injuries and illnesses.
  • Identify health problems serious enough to require a physician’s attention.
  • Inventory, maintain, and control outflow of all nursing and First Aid supplies.
  • Safeguard campers’ prescription medications and administer as arranged.
  • Record and maintain records of camper visits and inquiries in medical log.
  • Communicate with parents and staff on status of illnesses, injuries and camper concerns.
  • Complete insurance forms and appropriate Incident Reports.
  • Provide training in preventative health care for staff and campers.
  • Maintain camp infirmary/health center.
  • Communicate to Camp Director areas for improvement or concerns.

Qualifications:
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Experience in building relationships with a wide range of age groups including campers, staff, volunteers, and parents.
  • General nursing experience with large numbers of school age children.
  • Ability to listen with compassion and concern; demonstrate maturity.
  • Ability to respond in professional manner to emergency situations.
