Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration:
This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule:

Night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with every third weekend required.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in emergency and trauma nursing, providing high-quality care in a level 2 trauma center.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, including trauma and critical care.
• Participate in procedures associated with a level 2 trauma center.
• Utilize advanced skills in trauma care, STEMI care, stroke care, and sepsis management.
• Document care accurately using Meditech documentation system.
• Implement AIDET principles and maintain a positive patient care environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Emergency/Trauma Nurse in a level 2 trauma center.
• Current Kansas RN license.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC.
• Preferred certifications: CEN or TCRN.
• Knowledge of trauma care, STEMI care, stroke care, and sepsis management is essential.
