Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Location:
Overland Park, KS
Assignment Duration:
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule:
Night Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. The ideal candidate will join our dedicated team in a unit equipped with 13 beds and 3 triage beds, where they will provide comprehensive care for patients during labor and recovery.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor fetal heart rate and maternal vital signs.
- Administer medications as per medical orders.
- Facilitate vaginal deliveries and assist with cesarean sections.
- Provide compassionate support to new mothers and families.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- Labor and Delivery experience is essential; experience with circulation for C/S and catching newborns is preferred.
