Relief Veterinary Assistant / Credentialed Veterinary Technician

Southport Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Relief Veterinary Assistant or Credentialed Veterinary Technician to support our team on an as-needed/ Relief basis
, primarily to provide coverage when team members are on PTO.

We are fully staffed when everyone is present; however, coverage gaps arise when team members are out. This role is ideal for a seasoned veterinary professional who can step in seamlessly, adapt quickly, and work with minimal training or supervision

Relief / As-needed

Minimum of 2 years of experience in veterinary medicine

Veterinary Assistant or Credentialed Veterinary Technician (RVT preferred but not required)

Ability to jump in, adapt to workflow changes, and support the team where needed

Reliable, flexible, and confident in a fast-paced clinical setting

Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Sunday: Closed

(Relief shifts will be scheduled within these hours as needed.)

$17 – $21 per hour
