General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store. This team conducts inventory accuracy, merchandise set-up and maintenance and pricing processes for all areas of the store. They enable efficient delivery to guests by supporting pick, pack and ship fulfillment work.

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing daily tasks.
• When guests need assistance, engage with them to help solve their specific needs.
• Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
• Execute daily tasks to achieve goals aligned with business priorities, including receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, arranging merchandise, and putting up promotional signs for GM areas.
• If certified, operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures.
• Execute processes including price changes, merchandise set-up and maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed.
• Learn how operational procedures affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability.
• Be knowledgeable about store resources, products, and services to solve issues for the guest and improve their experience.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
• Work in a safe manner; comply with safety policies, report hazards, and correct where possible.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes (e.g., picking/packing orders or delivering pickup orders) while maintaining compliance with laws.
• All other duties based on business needs.

• You are open to a flexible work schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times).

• Ability to communicate on multiple devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.
• Attention to detail and follow multi-step processes.
• Ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment and complete multiple tasks within time frames.

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Climb ladders as required.
• Scan, handle and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 44 pounds.
• Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) with reliable attendance.
• Working in varying temperatures and conditions depending on role (Drive-Up, carryout, etc.).
• Ability to stay mobile for the duration of a shift.
