Job OverviewJoin our team in “Doing the Most Good” as a Store Manager
. We’re seeking a dynamic, hands‑on leader to oversee one of our Salvation Army Family Stores.
In this role, you’ll manage daily store operations, lead and develop your team, drive sales performance, and create a welcoming environment that reflects our mission. Your leadership directly supports programs that help change lives in your community.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Staff ManagementRecruit, train, schedule, and supervise store staff.
Ensure compliance with company policies and HR standards.
Store OperationsLead daily operations to meet production and sales goals.
Oversee donation processing, product pricing, and floor presentation.
Maintain store safety, cleanliness, and compliance with Salvation Army and OSHA standards.
Customer ExperienceDeliver outstanding customer service and promote repeat visits.
Resolve issues professionally and educate customers about our mission.
Model kindness, respect, and care in all customer interactions.
Oversee cash handling, daily deposits, and store banking procedures.
Work within budget guidelines and monitor inventory levels.
Track and report sales data to identify growth opportunities.
Communication & ReportingProvide daily production and sales reports to Regional Leadership.
Maintain open communication with Regional Manager and Command staff.
Support community outreach efforts to strengthen local engagement.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesInterview, hire, and train store personnel.
Conduct regular performance reviews and timecard approvals.
Ensure staff compliance with scheduling, payroll, and operational policies.
Qualifications Education & ExperienceMinimum 2 years of retail management or staff supervision experience.
Background in thrift, donation-based, or nonprofit retail preferred.
Skills & AbilitiesProven leadership and team‑building skills.
Strong communication and customer service focus.
Basic computer proficiency (POS systems, payroll, Microsoft Office).
Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs regularly (occasionally up to 100 lbs).
Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends or holidays.
CertificationsValid Driver’s License and clean MVR required.
