Starting salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity. The range listed reflects the entire range and typical placement is entry to mid range.
Pay Range - $16/hr - $17/hr Position Purpose This position will expose younger employees to the maintenance practices and procedures of a golf maintenance career. Most motorized equipment operation outside of golf carts will not be permitted to youths under the age of 18 years old, but the opportunity to understand mowing practices and turf care will be available.

*** Essential Job Functions
* Under supervision, performs a variety of physical labor duties associated with the care and maintenance of a golf course including string trimming, bunker maintenance, push mowing, trash pick-up and other duties as needed.

* Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge
Skills and Abilities
* Ability to understanding the game of golf is helpful, but not essential.
* Ability to follow direction and adhere to golf course safety practices.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed. Work schedule will vary during the season and early mornings are expected.
* Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
Knowledge Skills Abilities Preferred License & Certification
* A valid Colorado driver’s license and acceptable driving record is required.
Education Degree
* Some High School/GED Education Required
* No
Work Experience Related
* General knowledge of golf maintenance a plus.
Work Experience Preferred Other Qualifications
* Must be at least 16 years of age.
Physical Demands
* Strenuous to extreme physical effort that includes frequent use of heavy objects (e.g., 50+ pounds) and may also use heavy tools or require strenuous application in awkward positions. Individuals in strenuous positions must successfully complete a physical examination to ensure their fitness for duty.
Hazards
* Marginal to moderate exposure to conditions that are unpredictable and may lead to injury.
Work Environment
* Regular exposure to heat and noise along with working outside in the elements.
