- Lead preconstruction activities for data centre and mission-critical projects from concept through contract award.
- Prepare estimates, budgets, cost plans and pricing proposals for complex data infrastructure projects.
- Review drawings, specifications and scopes, with a focus on critical power, mechanical, electrical and building systems.
- Develop subcontractor scopes, bid packages and procurement plans.
- Manage subcontractor and supplier bidding, proposal reviews and bid leveling.
- Coordinate constructability reviews, value engineering and design development.
- Support project scheduling, procurement planning and long-lead equipment reviews.
- Coordinate with clients, designers, consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams.
- Identify scope gaps, cost risks, procurement challenges and schedule impacts.
- Maintain accurate estimates, budgets and preconstruction documentation.
- Support the transition from preconstruction to project delivery.
- Manage preconstruction teams, multiple projects, priorities and deadlines.
- 7+ years of experience in construction, preconstruction, estimating or cost planning.
- 3+ years of experience managing preconstruction activities, teams or complex project work streams.
- Experience delivering data centre, mission-critical, data infrastructure or similarly technical construction projects.
- Understanding of critical power, electrical, mechanical, cooling, controls and other major data centre systems.
- Experience preparing estimates, budgets, bid packages and subcontractor scopes.
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, contract documents and technical requirements.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, trade scopes, procurement and project sequencing.
- Experience managing subcontractor and supplier bidding, proposal evaluation and negotiations.
- Strong communication, organisation, leadership and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to identify project risks, scope gaps, cost impacts and long-lead procurement requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn relevant estimating, takeoff, bidding and project-management software.
- Degree, technical qualification or equivalent practical construction experience preferred.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and client meetings as required.
