Job Responsibilities

  • Provide exemplary customer service to the Hispanic Community as the primary customer contact for cemetery property, products, and pre‑need funeral and cemetery arrangements.
  • Generate revenue by selling customized special goods to walk‑in customers and warm leads.
  • Operate with compassion and exhibit a deep understanding of the death industry.
  • Connect with families through listening, honest communication, and genuine concern, developing an understanding of each family's unique needs, culture, and concerns.
  • Present electronic presentations to customers, explaining services, products, and property options.
  • Drive the company vehicle to show customers available cemetery plots or columbarium niches.
  • Discuss options with customers, answer questions, and assist with selections.
  • Enter selections into the electronic contract system.
  • Obtain supporting documents to verify customer authorization.
  • Review electronic contract selections with the customer and obtain signature.
  • Obtain life insurance policy, payment, or discuss payment options.
  • Follow up with families as arrangements progress, address issues or changes, and resolve concerns.
  • Collaborate with funeral and cemetery teams to provide seamless, high‑quality service.
  • Take initiative to resolve customer concerns and discuss options with team members or management.
  • Follow up with customers in person, by phone, and/or email.
  • Greet and escort immediate family members.
  • Attend visitations, services, and receptions to answer guest questions or address issues.
  • Softly obtain warm leads from attending families and guests expressing interest in pre‑need arrangements.
  • Review warm leads for potential customers, allocating approximately 25% of the work week.
  • Place outgoing calls to warm leads, establishing initial contact, listening to needs, and scheduling formal appointments.
  • Provide prospective customers with industry marketing materials.
  • Confirm appointments at least twenty‑four hours prior, rescheduling as needed.
  • Prepare for appointments based on customers’ previously disclosed needs.
  • Maintain leads in the  database.
  • Monitor progress to achieve a 4:1 close rate.
  • Utilize online training tools to gain knowledge, rehearse presentations, and improve performance.
  • Apply knowledge and skills to the business environment.
  • Work under guidance with peer review for accuracy, quality, and coaching.
  • Complete routine work following established procedures and complying with regulations and policies; escalates non‑routine issues for assistance.
  • Exhibit accountability for behaviors.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Discuss assignments, expectations, priorities, and deadlines, and seek guidance and coaching from the manager.
  • Adjust effectively to new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures.
Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED; college coursework at the sophomore level preferred.
  • In lieu of college courses, an additional two years of directly related work experience in business administration, sales, or marketing may be considered.
  • Current state‑issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record to operate company‑owned vehicles.
  • Life insurance license as required by the state regulatory board.
  • At least one year of customer service or direct sales work experience.
