Level 1: $100 - Without Degree OR Substitutes with Bachelor's Degree or Teaching Certificate substituting for Instructional Aide position Level 2: $125 - With Bachelor's Degree Level 3: $185 - With valid Teaching Certificate

Purpose:
Assist in preparation and management of classroom activities and administrative requirements.
Qualifications:
- Education/Certification:
A minimum of 30 college hours from an accredited University/College, required Substitute Training Certificate and/or valid Teaching Certificate, required - Special Knowledge/
Skills:
Ability to work well with children Ability to communicate effectively Ability to speak, write and read in English up to 12th grade level - Experience:
Some experience working with children

Responsibilities And Duties:
- Adhere to the curriculum and lesson plans assigned by the teacher.
- Conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher; work with individual students or small groups.
- Help supervise students throughout school day inside and outside classroom. This includes lunchroom, bus, and playground duty.
- Keep teacher informed of special needs or problems of individual's student.
- Maintain neat and orderly classroom.
- Perform all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or others.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Maintain emotional control under stress; work prolonged or irregular hours FOR INSTRUCTION OUTSIDE A TYPICAL CLASSROOM SETTING (e.g. P.E. Teachers, Fine Arts Instructors, Shop Instructors, etc.) the following physical requirements must be addressed:
Constant walking, standing, and movement to ensure safety and well-being of students in large open areas such as playgrounds, gyms, football fields, shop areas, etc. Physical activity, modeling, and directing instruction in front of large group setting of students in order to define/model expected and appropriate behaviors Lifting, carrying, or pulling of instructional equipment such as balls, instruments, cases, tools, etc.
