Primary Objective of Position
Educate, advise and guide potential borrowers about the home loan journey, including analysis of credit, collection and review of income documentation, and matching solutions with their financial needs. Identify, develop and maintain a quality network of business relationships that serves as a recurring source of referrals for new home loan opportunities.
Essential Job Functions- Provide a consultative sales approach to uncover members’ financial needs and goals by proactively identifying financial needs and matching them with home loan solutions.
- Develop and maintain successful business referral sources including existing and prospective Rally CU members, Rally CU Branch Peers, Realtors, Builders, and Business Partners as a recurring source of referrals for new home loan opportunities.
- Maintain excellence in delivering customer service and exceeding the credit union and department service standards.
- Collect required supporting loan documentation.
- Analyze credit and financial data.
- Prepare and present proposed loan structure to mortgage loan underwriter.
- Assist processor, mortgage loan underwriter and loan administration to ensure all loan conditions are satisfied.
- Keep member informed throughout loan process and assist with closing procedures.
- Ensure the protection of the credit union’s interest in matters of adequate documentation and adherence to policies and the various laws and regulations that apply.
- Promote a teamwork attitude to ensure all credit union goals and objectives are achieved.
- Attend all required lending trainings and meetings.
- Assist staff with mortgage servicing and collection efforts as needed.
- Offer and cross‑sell all credit union services and products.

Contacts:
Frequent contact with members, staff and other departments by face‑to‑face, telephone and email.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Five (5) years’ experience in assessing customer financial needs in a high-volume sales or service goal‑driven environment.
- One (1) year mortgage/real estate or commercial processing or lending experience required.
- Bilingual ability preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, fluid environment and be held to minimum production standards; candidate must be able to sit for long periods of time.
- Position involves wrist/hand/fingers manipulation; movement is inherent in the job as well as restriction to workspace for prolonged periods.
- Vision abilities required: close vision for frequent viewing of computer monitor and review of documents.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive a vehicle for business‑related purposes.
- Must have the ability to communicate verbally with staff and members.
- Perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either alone or as part of a team.
- Strong ability to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions.
- Strong ability to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence.
- Capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization; demonstrate highest levels of member service and discretion when dealing with the public.
- Perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines/requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace.
- Effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities.
- Capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
- Proven ability to make decisions based upon prior precedence, business knowledge and judgment.
Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Additional InformationCandidate is subject to initial and subsequent reviews and assessments of registry requirements through NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System) as well as a review of their criminal background, credit report and NMLSR (Registry).
Candidate must be available to travel to other branches, work outside of business hours and Saturdays when requested by management.
