Retail Store Manager - Store

Position Overview

Opportunity to grow your retail management career as a Store Manager at one of the nation's largest off‑price retailers. You will lead a team, drive sales, and embody “Our Burlington” values to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

• Direct, manage and coach Assistant Managers, Supervisors and Store Associates to ensure implementation of company policies, standards and initiatives.
• Partner with the Assistant Store Manager – Merchandising to coordinate merchandise placement, sales promotions and pricing.
• Partner with the Assistant Store Manager – Operations to review receiving, transfers, debits/damages, returns‑to‑vendor and chargeback paperwork to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Act as Manager on Duty (MOD), set a strong leadership presence and model Burlington SOPs.
• Manage multi‑million‑dollar sales volume and expense budget, including review of reporting and record‑keeping.
• Recruit, screen, hire and onboard associates; provide ongoing coaching and structured learning activities.
• Handle personnel and associate relations issues, payroll budget management, workforce management and scheduling.
• Facilitate communication and partnership among the store team, district and regional management and other company partners.

• 5+ years of retail management experience in a big‑box or specialty environment.
• Strong communication, organization and leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to lift and move boxes up to 40 lbs.
• Experience with scheduling, reporting computer software and payroll management.
• Travel may be required from time to time.

• Pay range: $81,160 – $101,450.
