The primary purpose of this position is to safely transport food and supplies to campuses in accordance with state and federal guidelines for Child Nutrition Programs.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Valid Texas Driver License (CDL) required
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Ability to follow oral or written instructions
• Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack
• Ability to drive a motor vehicle
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions
• Warehouse experience preferred

• Properly store and arrange foods and supplies in Department storage areas.
• Prepare pallets of items requested utilizing a delivery ticket.
• Verify shipments with supervisor prior to departing for designated sites.
• Deliver foods and supplies to designated sites as directed.
• Pick up food items from commercial storage facilities and transport to department warehouse as directed.
• Monitor temperatures of foods during transport as required by HACCP plan and immediately report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Verify deliveries with campus Cafeteria Managers.
• Assist campus staff with the proper storage of delivered foods and supplies.
• Maintain vehicle maintenance records as directed.
• Report vehicle maintenance concerns to supervisor.
• Assist with conducting inventory of food and supplies in stock.
• Assist with monitoring food storage temperatures and document accordingly.
• Assist with the pick up and transport of large and small equipment.
• Clean and maintain storage areas and vehicles as directed.
• Cooperate with co-workers and staff to complete required tasks in a safe manner.
• Attend training, meeting, in‑services, and workshops as requested.
• Promote teamwork and interaction with fellow staff members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Work with frequent interruptions and handle multiple tasks.
• Communicate effectively and maintain emotional control under stress.
• Work alone and meet established timelines.

• Stand, walk, talk, or hear for 67 to 99% of the work day.
• Occasionally lift or carry objects up to 50 lbs; frequently lift or carry objects at least 25 lbs.
• Have 20/20 corrected vision and the ability to identify and distinguish colors; adjust focus and observe peripherally.
• Work in wet, humid, hot, cold, and fume‑prone conditions; work near moving parts; work with chemicals and vibration.
• Noise level is loud.
• Hearing required to hear alarms, client calls, and instructions.
• Repetitive motion: use foot control 1–2 hrs per day, use hands 7+ hrs per day, grasp light or heavy objects 7+ hrs per day.
