- Reporting directly to the EVP Sales and Marketing, the Business Development Executive will focus on increasing the company’s revenue by identifying profitable business opportunities and developing long-term business growth strategies.
- The responsibilities will include recommending ways to improve operations planning, attending meetings with clients and advisors, and notifying partners of key business developments.
- The incumbent should be adept at negotiating sound business deals and show excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Acquire new accounts using a strategic approach to increasing sales revenue and drive growth with prospects within a specific target of customers looking for 3PL Logistics, Warehousing and Fulfillment services.
- Assesses marketing and sales as well as supplier and vendor operations and recommends improvements as needed.
- Approves all documentation required for requests for proposals (RFPs)
- Negotiates fees, closes sales orders and obtains signed contracts with pricing approval.
- Research emerging trends and recommend new company offerings to satisfy customers’ needs.
- Presents business or marketing opportunities to company executives and management.
- Responsible for servicing accounts, information management, monthly reporting, training, and meeting set targets.
- Responsible for revenue attainment, customer satisfaction and revenue retention.
- Consults with new customers after sales or signed contracts to resolve problems and/or ongoing support and customer service.
- Completes the new customer onboarding program and checklist detailing both customer and operational requirements for all new key accounts or significant expansion within existing accounts.
- Manages the sales pipeline to ensure timely and accurate forecasting.
- Maintains accurate records of all sales activities.
- Takes on Special Projects as assigned by Management related to Sales.
- Performs other related duties.

Education/Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, finance, or related field; master's degree is
- advantageous.
- 5+ years of logistics sales/operations experience
- Solid track record of over-achieving your sales targets.
- Proficient account management, acquisition, upselling and development skills
- Proficient knowledge of warehouse management systems, order management systems, transportation management systems and services/products related to the supply chain industry
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and CRM software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional leadership and management skills.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong business acumen.
- Detail-oriented and persuasive.
