Work with Us. Change the World.
At AECOM, we’re delivering a better world. Whether improving your commute, keeping the lights on, providing access to clean water, or transforming skylines, our work helps people and communities thrive. We are the world's trusted infrastructure consulting firm, partnering with clients to solve the world’s most complex challenges and build legacies for future generations.
AECOM is seeking an Advisory Consultant Organizational Psychology to support the growth of our Organizational Dynamics expertise within the Strategy & Transformation practice in Toronto. We’re specifically looking for someone passionate about the human aspect of project delivery, who recognises that project success relies on the behaviours of the people delivering those projects and is excited to explore ways for developing high‑performing teams.
We’re looking for someone that has a rare blend of real‑world experience and theory, a passion for challenging traditional wisdom, the right mix of boardroom polish and grassroots hustle and is comfortable blurring the lines between rigor and creativity.
You will join our multidisciplinary team of talented strategists, designers, architects, data analysts, and other organisational specialists to support projects which encompass world‑class corporations, agencies, institutions, and local and federal governments.
This is a newly created position.
Is this role right for you?
Your role as an Organisational Psychologist will vary from project to project, relationship to relationship, and may include:
Helping clients to shape and act on change strategies for complex organisational challenges to capitalize on value‑creating opportunities.
Assessing organisational capabilities, structures and processes and developing future capabilities, competencies and critical roles that enable an organisation’s 5‑10 year strategy.
Designing and activating organisational interventions to encourage collaboration across siloed organisations.
Generating new opportunities by thinking creatively about financial and operational impacts, risks, experiments, data and other drivers.
Translating behavioural research into insights that can be easily communicated to collaborators and clients to inspire possible solutions.
Crafting research plans comprised of interviews, workshops, analogous industries and organisations to understand an organisation’s working dynamics and surface opportunity areas.
Shaping and acting on change strategies that may start small and lead to long‑term impact at scale.
Designing tools, methodologies and frameworks that address strategic and organisational issues and foster new ways of thinking and working.
Shaping AECOM’s perspective on organisational strategy – we like to push the edges in all aspects of our work.
About You
You ask thought‑provoking questions, are comfortable wading into ambiguous problems, can take ownership, are a critical thinker, and have specialised experience in one or more of the following areas and possess a broader comfort and ability to work within many of these areas:
Organisational psychology, behavioural economics and change management
Workforce planning, operations and capability development, human resources

Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in a related field, including but not limited to industrial/organisational psychology, business administration, behavioural science or human resources and 4 years of experience in organisation design, collaborative behavioural assessments, change management and developing and implementing new ways of thinking and working or demonstrated equivalence of experience and education.
Preferred Requirements
Ideally 6 or more years experience in organisation design, collaborative behavioural assessments, change management and developing and implementing new ways…
