About the Role:

About the Role

The IMAX Soundtrack Mastering facility receives, qualifies, processes and delivers soundtracks to internal post-production teams, external post-production facilities, film distributors, or directly to theatres. Turnaround times can be extremely short and accuracy is a must. Soundtracks must be delivered error free, to specification, and on schedule.

The purpose of the Soundtrack Studio Coordinator is to organize and schedule the receivables and deliverables.

What You'll Do:

  • Maintain the daily Soundtrack Mastering Facility delivery schedule

  • Assist in coordination of external studio dub delivery schedules and ship dates to ensure that all soundtrack mastering obligations can be met

  • Create, circulate, and maintain audio tracking documents via Excel, SharePoint, and internal systems

  • Communicate with internal and external teams on status of data, unique project details, data discrepancies, priorities, and deadlines

  • Data management on Windows, and Mac platforms – meticulous organizing and documenting of audio and reference deliverables

  • Create and manage invoices

  • Check e-mails frequently for new work orders, audio masters, etc.

  • Assist with organizing and archiving soundtrack masters

  • Assisting with audio QCs as required

  • Perform general administrative duties including shipping and billing as required

  • What You'll Need:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma

  • Audio / Film / Post Production education or equivalent work experience required

  • Knowledge of audio post production terminology required

  • Experience with data management, understanding of file naming convention, directory structure, etc.

  • Strong written communication skills required

  • Meticulous attention to detail

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs, particularly Excel

  • Flexibility to work overtime, evenings, and weekends is desired

  • Experience with post-production software (Pro Tools, DaVinci Resolve, etc.) a plus

  • Previous experience working in the media & entertainment industry a plus

    Hiring Range / Échelle salariale à l’embauche :

    $43,405.00 / 43.405,00$ - $54,256.00 / 54.256,00$ (per year / par an) Final pay within this range will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and the geographic location of the role.
