Back Office Banking Investment Processing Officer (Hybrid - Mississauga/Etobicoke)
Candidate is applying for the Back Office Banking Investment Processing Officer role at TEKsystems
. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days in office and 2 days remote, supporting the back office investment processing for a large bank in the Etobicoke/Mississauga area.
- Process transfers in and out by managing daily case lists for both ATON (electronic) and NON‑ATON (manual) cases.
- Redeem funds and facilitate transfers to other financial institutions via cheque or ATON system.
- Accurately record client information, account details, and fund amounts; incomplete or incorrect submissions result in rejection.
- Manage transfer‑related inboxes and ensure timely responses to requests and case updates.
- Complete supporting documentation such as Letters of Indemnity and other required forms.
- Handle inbound and outbound calls with internal Scotia teams and external financial institutions to resolve transfer rejections and gather missing information.
- Escalate pending cases to second‑level review (ACC) when required.
- Participate in structured training, starting with 10 cases per day and scaling up to 40–50 cases daily.
- Manage high‑volume transfer‑in responsibilities, including inbox oversight and call flow management (approximately 2–3 hours daily).
- Coordinate fund movements with partner institutions such as Tangerine, MD Financial, and Scotia Capital.
- Review cases thoroughly prior to submission to external partners to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with external partners via fax, email memos, and phone follow‑ups (calls may last up to 45 minutes).
- Adapt to peak season workloads, maintaining efficiency and accuracy under high case volume and time‑sensitive demands.
- Cross‑train in multiple roles to support workflow volume and team flexibility.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment by supporting colleagues and sharing best practices.
- 6+ months of related banking/financial experience.
- Strong communication skills (English – written and verbal).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, etc.).
