Role

Risk Manager, Risk & Analytics — you will join a collaborative and forward‑thinking risk and analytics team that partners closely with senior leaders across the business. In this role, you will support the development, implementation, and oversight of credit risk analysis, monitoring, and controls to ensure strong portfolio performance and alignment with our risk appetite. You will leverage data mining, modeling, and analytical skills to identify credit risk trends, inform adjudication and collection strategies, and develop forecasting, benchmarking, and reporting insights that support business strategy and compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Data mining, modeling, and analysis: identify, evaluate, review and implement adjudication and collection strategy changes aligned with the risk appetite established by Senior Management and approved by the Board.
  • Identify, assess, and monitor credit risk trends; communicate adherence to authorized risk tolerance parameters and support Senior Management decision‑making.
  • Diagnose, document, and report drivers of unexpected changes to portfolio/origination composition and credit performance.
  • Communicate findings and future impacts to losses and delinquency; propose recommendations to Senior Management as required.
  • Analyze and make recommendations to improve credit risk decisions around adjudication and collection strategies; improve existing reports, processes, and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development of a robust data infrastructure for model development and analytics.
  • Create analysis leading to credit strategy optimization, including customer risk segmentation that improves the portfolio’s risk‑reward profile.
  • Understand profitability and performance drivers to build programs that optimize net financial contribution.
  • Forecasting and reporting: build and maintain a standard set of risk and performance reports evaluating overall credit risk; monitor delinquency and charge‑off trends by vintage and segment.
  • Apply observations to loss forecasting models and communicate risks and opportunities to Senior Management.
  • Oversee and conduct sensitivity and scenario analyses to understand impact of exogenous factors, policy, and operational changes on delinquency and charge‑off levels.
Qualifications
  • 2–4 years in progressively responsible roles in retail and/or financial services credit risk management and analytics; degree in statistics, math, or related discipline (advanced degree is desired).
  • Sound knowledge of credit risk/portfolio management procedures and principles; practical application of data mining and statistical principles in model development.
  • Strong analytical, data storytelling, and communication skills; ability to understand complex problems, detect trends, and translate data into solutions.
  • Experience identifying, quantifying, managing, and implementing changes to credit risk decisions and underwriting strategies, policies, and procedures through analytical problem solving.
  • Strong technical knowledge of statistical analysis, modeling techniques in a retail credit risk environment.
  • Deep understanding of data extraction/mining/modeling tools including SAS, SQL, and Databricks.
  • Experience with agentic or generative AI is a plus.
Work Arrangement

Flexible Work Program: three days onsite per week at our Mississauga office.

Compensation

Salary range: $95,795.00 – $ CAD (base salary plus bonus). Total compensation includes base salary and bonus.
