Mortgage Underwriter

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Underwriter to join a fast‑paced, high‑volume mortgage team operating under the award‑winning Mortgage Outlet brand.

This is an opportunity to work directly with a top‑producing mortgage broker, underwriting mortgage files from application to funding. You will play a critical role in structuring deals, finding solutions, and ensuring clients receive exceptional service throughout the mortgage process.

• Managing mortgage files from application to funding
• Structuring and underwriting residential mortgage applications
• Preparing lender submissions and supporting documentation
• Communicating with clients, lenders, lawyers, and realtors
• Solving problems and keeping files moving toward approval and funding

• Minimum two years of mortgage underwriting experience
• Strong understanding of prime, alternative, and private lending solutions
• Experience reviewing and analyzing complex income scenarios
• Strong knowledge of lender guidelines and mortgage qualification requirements
• Exceptional organizational and time‑management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• $70,000 base salary
• Performance bonuses based on file volume, quality, and efficiency
• Expected total compensation of approximately $90,000 - $110,000+ annually
