Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller – Real Estate to oversee the financial operations of our real estate portfolio. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting expertise, experience with various accounting software, and a comprehensive understanding of financial management within the real estate sector. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making to drive the company's growth and stability.
Duties- Manage all accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
- Utilize accounting software such as Quick Books, Sage, Xero, and other relevant platforms to maintain accurate financial records.
- Perform account reconciliations and conduct detailed account analysis to ensure data integrity.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and monitor budgets for various projects and property portfolios, providing insights for cost control and profitability enhancement.
- Oversee audit processes and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
- Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve operational efficiency.
- Provide financial insights and reports to senior management to support strategic planning and investment decisions.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role within the real estate industry or related fields.
- Robust background in accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Extensive experience with accounting software such as Quick Books, Sage, Xero, or equivalent platforms.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, budgeting, account reconciliation, and account analysis.
- Familiarity with real estate financial operations including property management accounting is preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
$60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
