Tax Analyst

Position: Tax Analyst -12 Months
An exciting opportunity is available with one of our clients for a Senior Tax Analyst for a 12 month contract to join a dynamic tax team and contribute to key compliance and strategic initiatives across Canada, the USA, and the UK. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys tackling complex tax challenges. They are looking for someone with In-Depth Tax and a CPA or in the program.

*** This is a long term contract with base salary + Health and Dental Benefits + retention bonus**
* Key responsibilities of the Senior Tax Analyst are to:
Prepare monthly GST/HST/PST/QST returns and general ledger reconciliations
Support tax audits, recovery initiatives, and process improvements
Ensure accurate self-assessment and POS tax application
Monitor legislative changes and SOX requirements
Serve as an internal SME for commodity tax inquiries
Participate in cross-functional projects and committees
Requirements
3+ years of Canadian commodity tax experience
CPA designation or in-progress (CFE completed accepted)
Strong GAAP knowledge and analytical skills
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
Technical proficiency with Excel and ERP systems;
Oracle/Power BI is an asset
A proactive mindset and enthusiasm for continuous learning
