The Opportunity

Our client is a respected Canadian organization seeking an Accountant to join its growing Finance team.

This role offers the opportunity to work across financial reporting, analysis, reconciliations, and month-end close activities while partnering with stakeholders throughout the business.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to build their career in a collaborative environment that values continuous improvement and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Maintain balance sheet schedules, bank reconciliations, and fixed asset records to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, providing meaningful insights to business leaders.

Partner with internal departments to investigate discrepancies, resolve issues, and support day-to-day accounting needs.

Contribute to process improvements and help strengthen financial controls and reporting practices.

Qualifications

Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.

CPA designation in progress is considered an asset.

1-3 years of accounting experience with exposure to financial analysis and reporting.

Strong proficiency in Excel and experience working with ERP systems.

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 days remote
Compensation - $55000 - $65000 + 7% Bonus
