This role will support operational leadership by providing financial insights, monitoring key operating costs related to equipment utilization and maintenance activities, and identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency. The position focuses on strengthening financial reporting, improving cost visibility, and supporting data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Consolidate and analyze operational transaction data, identifying trends, variances, and exceptions.
Investigate and explain month-over-month financial variances and performance changes.
Support monitoring processes related to equipment performance, utilization, and operating costs.
Track operational KPIs such as asset utilization, productivity, and compliance metrics.
Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting tools for leadership teams.
Analyze maintenance spending by equipment type, vendor, and service category to identify cost drivers.
Prepare performance reports evaluating internal teams and external service providers.
Assist with annual operating budgets and monthly financial review processes.
Monitor asset utilization and collaborate with operational teams to improve efficiency and cost management.
Support ad hoc financial analysis and operational reporting requests.
Qualifications
Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
3–5 years of financial analysis experience in an operational environment is considered an asset.
Strong financial and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to analyze and consolidate large volumes of operational and financial data.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with BI tools such as Power BI.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
