The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist. The Human Resources Generalist provides essential operational, administrative, and coordination support to the HR Business Partner (HRBP) team. This role enables HRBP’s to focus on strategic priorities by managing detailed, process-driven, and documentation-intensive tasks across the employee lifecycle. It is well-suited to an HR professional with 3+ years of progressive experience who excels in organization, follow-through, case preparation, and supporting multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, multi-unit environment.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide administrative, coordination, and operational support to the HRBP team to enable focus on strategic initiatives.
  • Prepares case files, documentation, summaries, templates, and follow‑up materials for HRBP‑led employee relations, performance, and accommodation matters.
  • Coordinates interviews, meetings, witness discussions, and performance conversations.
  • Tracks, monitors, and updates case activity, deadlines, and next steps to ensure timely follow‑through.
  • Conduct preliminary policy or legislative research and escalates moderate‑to‑complex matters to the HRBP team.
  • Supports job changes, transfers, promotions, and offboarding activities with accuracy and consistency.
  • Assists with annual HR programs, including performance reviews, talent discussions, compensation activities, training initiatives, and compliance reviews.
  • Tracks and coordinates vacation leaves of absence, and extended absences, ensuring required documentation and follow‑up.
  • Supports HR metrics, data integrity checks, reporting, and audit activities across HRIS and internal tracking systems.
  • Liaises with Payroll, HRIS, Talent Acquisition, and Operations to ensure smooth execution of employee lifecycle processes.
  • Participates in HR projects, department initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Leverages HR knowledge and experience to identify best practices, recommend enhancements to current programs, and seek efficiencies that add value and align with OSL strategies.
  • Supports employee inquiries and concerns, resolving issues in a timely, professional, and service‑oriented manner while following established escalation pathways.
  • Participates in and comply with internal and external audit processes.
  • Monitors and reports on key industry trends and competitive HR offers to inform HRBP and departmental planning.
  • Contributes to departmental goals, objectives, systems, and ongoing process improvements.
  • Performs other duties that support the HRBP team and the broader HR function.
  • What you’ve done:

  • Three+ years’ experience in a Human Resources role preferably including employee relations, coaching and investigations exposure
  • University degree or college diploma preferably in Human Resources
  • Excellent communications skills, verbal and written
  • Effective time management skills and highly organized
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Conviction to improve personally and support continuous improvement
  • High level of personal integrity
  • Positive and supportive tone, attitude, and work ethic
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a self-starter
  • Previous multi-unit national retail experience preferred
