The HR Solutions Specialist serves as the subject matter expert for benefits, supporting the administration of the organization’s benefits plans and programs across North America and all 4 Business Areas. Ensures compliance with internal policies and applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). The Benefits specialist is responsible for providing guidance on health insurance, retirement plans, and other compensation benefits.
Provides expert guidance and support to employees regarding benefit offerings and administrative updates. Delivers end-to-end customer service to ensure accurate, timely transactions and high levels of employee satisfaction.
Your role in our team
You will work collaboratively with USA and Canada Plan administrators on benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, leave of absence, retirement plans, and other related plans.You will act as first and second-level support for HR-related inquiries from employees and managers across all locations and Business Areas, providing accurate, timely responses.You will ensure the organization's and plans' compliance with the applicable provisions of COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA.You will support leave programs and policies in accordance with the applicable federal and state employment laws (FMLA, ADA, USERRA, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, etc.).You will provide resolution support and oversight for employee issues, including resolution to claim questions, eligibility, compliance, and audit requirements.You will maintain and document administrative procedures for benefit processes through knowledge articles.You will ensure work is completed in alignment with defined standards and policies.You will proactively identify and implement process and solution improvements.You will manage administration, including job offer creation, onboarding, terminations, benefit enrollments, changes, and updates in HR systems.You will escalate complex inquiries to HR Business Partners and Centers of Excellence as needed; engage directly with customers for resolution.You will develop a thorough understanding of HR Shared Services operations, systems, and processes to ensure accurate and timely responses to inquiries and requests.You will assist with employee communication and education about the benefits package.You will set up and maintain data integration files when automation is not available, entering data timely and accurately per carrier/vendor instructions.You will maintain employee benefits filing systems and ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately in the payroll system for payroll deduction.You will maintain Success Factors and ADP benefits information for employees.You will conduct benefits orientations and explain the benefits self-enrollment system.You will manage HR communication and knowledge base.You will complete HR Shared Services projects and improvement activities as needed.Your profile
You have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.You have 5–7 years of experience in Benefits Administration.You have certifications such as Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (preferred).You have an advanced understanding of employee benefits administration systems, with a preference for Employee Navigator benefit administration or comparable systems.You have HR Generalist experience (a plus).You have knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing, and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefit programs, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Medicare, Social Security, and DOL requirements.You have strong organizational and communication skills.You have a proven ability to communicate…
