Volunteering Canterbury seeks a dedicated Youth Board Member to fill a vacancy at the upcoming Annual General Meeting. This role involves working closely with a fellow Waimakariri-based representative to enhance volunteer opportunities for young people. Your insights will help ensure effective volunteer advocacy across diverse cultural backgrounds, including Pasifika and Maori.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend monthly Board sessions (1-2 hours each)

• Share expertise to enhance volunteer programs

• Support the inclusion of youth voices in decisions

• Facilitate connections within the volunteer community

• Guide training and support efforts for volunteers

Requirements:

• Strong interest in volunteerism and community issues

• Relevant involvement in youth programs or services

• Commitment to attending all meetings

• Good communication and collaborative skills

• Desire to promote diversity and inclusion
