Opportunity

Leavitt Machinery is looking for a driven Sales and Service Manager, Dock and Door to join our team in Mississauga, Ontario
. As the Sales and Service Manager, Dock and Door, you will play a key role in driving profitable revenue growth through the sale of preventative maintenance programs, dock and door systems, and complete unit solutions. This position combines business development, technical sales expertise, and operational leadership to deliver consistently high-quality customer experiences. Working closely with the Operations Manager and field teams, you will identify and develop customer opportunities, conduct assessments, prepare professional quotations, and provide leadership and oversight to the Service Department.

As the Sales and Service Manager, Dock and Door for Leavitt Machinery, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing targeted sales strategies that drive sustainable, profitable growth across new and existing customer accounts.
  • Conducting professional site visits and customer assessments to evaluate dock and door requirements, with a focus on growth opportunities within the GTA market.
  • Preparing comprehensive quotations and proposals that balance customer value, technical accuracy, and company profitability targets.
  • Maintaining a disciplined sales pipeline through the company’s CRM, ensuring opportunity tracking, forecasting, and customer activity records are accurate and current.
  • Partnering with the equipment sales team to identify, share, and advance cross-divisional opportunities that strengthen customer coverage and overall account penetration.
  • Cultivating trusted customer relationships that support long-term retention, repeat business, and referral growth.
  • Leading the performance, development, and day-to-day effectiveness of Service Department staff by establishing clear expectations, supporting appropriate staffing levels, and facilitating required training.
  • Conducting field spot checks to assess safety, process compliance, workmanship, and quality standards.
  • Providing on-site leadership and installation support as required.
  • Working closely with Operations and field teams to ensure projects are planned, coordinated, and executed with operational discipline and financial accountability.
  • Promoting accountability, safety, service excellence, and continuous improvement across the department.
Required

Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:

  • Post-secondary education in Sales, Business, Construction Management, Operations, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with prior management experience in a service, sales, operations, or technical environment.
  • Technical knowledge of dock and door systems, material handling equipment, or related industrial solutions is considered an asset.
  • Previous sales experience is preferred.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into practical business solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers, technicians, peers, and senior leaders.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgment, and remain effective in a fast-paced environment.
  • Results-oriented, commercially focused, and committed to delivering a high standard of customer service.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.

The base pay range for this role is: $110,000 to $120,000 per year, depending on experience, plus bonuses.
