Position: Environmental Consultant, Hazardous Material (HAZMAT)
The Opportunity

, without requiring people management. You will be trusted to manage your own files, interact directly with clients and stakeholders, and drive projects forward from assessment through remediation.
This is not a purely technical or back-office role—this is a hands-on, field-connected consulting position where your judgment, communication, and coordination skills directly influence project outcomes.
This is a Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm, in-office position and does necessitate some site work; as such there is a travel requirement to this position.

Experience
5–10 years of experience in hazardous building materials / HAZMAT consultingDirect experience with Designated Substance Surveys (DSS)Strong knowledge of Ontario regulations related to asbestos, lead, mould, and designated substancesExperience coordinating with contractors and stakeholders on active project sitesDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and deliverablesQualifications
Strong technical report writing and documentation skillsAbility to interpret drawings, specifications, and site conditionsHighly organized with strong time management and prioritization skillsConfident communicator in client-facing environmentsProficiency with MS Office and reporting tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat)Professional designations such as CET, CRSP, or equivalent are considered an asset.Education
Degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Building Science, or a related disciplineOR equivalent combination of education and directly relevant field experience
