Egis is on the lookout for a Lead Terrestrial Biologist or Ecologist to enhance our Ecological Services Team in Mississauga. This role involves a diverse range of projects, from mining to infrastructure development, with responsibilities for monitoring, data collection, and technical report preparation. Expect field excursions across Canada, including working outdoors in challenging conditions, and some activities requiring night shifts for nocturnal species monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and execute ecological monitoring strategies

• Develop technical reports for clients and stakeholders

• Engage with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance

• Plan and coordinate ecological field operations

• Lead mentoring and development initiatives for staff

Requirements:

• University degree in biology or ecology

• Minimum 15 years in environmental fieldwork

• Strong skills in Microsoft and analysis tools

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Willingness to travel and perform strenuous fieldwork
