Licensed Diesel Truck Technician / Mechanic Mississauga, ON $40 $ 43/hour Shift Premiums Available
Staffmax Staffing & Recruiting is currently hiring a Licensed Diesel Truck Technician / Mechanic for our client in Mississauga, Ontario.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced licensed technician looking to join a professional fleet maintenance environment with strong compensation, career advancement potential, and modern equipment.

- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing on trucks and trailers.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and performance issues.
- Repair engines, transmissions, differentials, fuel systems, brakes, steering, and suspension components.
- Complete warranty repairs and service documentation.
- Conduct road tests when required.
- Use welding equipment, hand tools, power tools, jacks, hoists, and diagnostic systems.
- Inspect brake systems, wheel bearings, steering mechanisms, and other critical components.
- Replace worn or damaged parts and ensure equipment meets manufacturer standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Complete work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Assist with additional maintenance projects as required.
- 5+ years of tractor‑trailer or heavy truck maintenance experience.
- Valid 310T, Red Seal, or equivalent provincial certification.
- Valid Class D or Class 3 licence with air brake endorsement, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills on major vehicle systems.
- Experience using shop tools, welding equipment, and computerized diagnostics.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Reliable attendance and professional work ethic.
- Ability to work in a non‑climate‑controlled environment.
- OEM training considered an asset.
- Regular lifting up to 12 kg.
- Frequent lifting up to 23 kg.
- Occasional lifting up to 45 kg.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical shop work throughout shift.
- Strong visual awareness and safe work practices in an active service environment.
