Summary:

Appliance Technician – All Regions. Responsible for delivering exceptional consumer experience in customer homes, performing technical diagnosis, repair, and installation of all kitchen and laundry appliances including washers, dryers, dishwashers, stoves, ovens, refrigerators, freezers, and microwave ovens.

• Diagnose concerns by interpreting the customer’s observations and determining proper solutions or repairs, accessing manufacturer service manuals and bulletins, and using specialized tools and testing devices to locate the issue(s).
• Maintain appliances by disassembling, cleaning internal parts, replacing faulty or worn parts, reassembling, and testing.
• Ensure any installations that require connections to water, electrical, or gas lines are completed correctly and in accordance with the product’s installation instructions.
• Use business management software to manage service calls.
• Follow company processes as per service Standard Operating Procedures.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills in English and French.
• Hold a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Lift upwards of 55 lbs and complete the required labor daily.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of experience in the appliance repair field or another service industry (telecommunication, electrical, HVAC, maintenance).

• Appliance Service Technician Red Seal Certificate (or in process of acquiring / registered as journeyman apprentice).
• Formal technical training in appliance repair.
• Knowledge and comfort using a tablet or laptop computer.
• Familiarity with mobile technology and applications.
• Adaptability to change and strong communication, teamwork, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Comfortable with Google Software and Applications (Google Sheets, Docs, Slides) or equivalent.
• Highly developed organizational and customer service skills.
• Results‑driven with proven troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and where necessary complete items including blueprints, electrical schematics, operating and maintenance manuals, work orders, repair parts requests, standard and metric tape measures, and other measuring equipment such as a micrometer, caliper, scale, and VOM (Volt/OHM Meter).

Salary Range: $56,000 – $70,000.
