Traffic System Technician Position

The City of Mississauga is on the lookout for a skilled Traffic System Technician to manage traffic signal operations. This full-time role includes the preparation of signal timing plans and resolving technical issues with community impacts. You'll also communicate essential information through reports to the public and city officials while ensuring adherence to regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize software to create signal timing plans

• Investigate and address technical problems collaboratively

• Confirm compliance with engineering and legal requirements

• Draft correspondence and reports for stakeholders

• Stay current with technological advances in traffic systems

Requirements:

• Three post-secondary diplomas in related fields

• Full membership with the Ontario Association as an asset

• Minimum of 1 year experience in traffic systems

• Valid class “G” driver’s license

• Strong organizational and communication capabilities
