Business Unit
The Automation Division is responsible for providing engineered solutions, integrated systems, automation programming and technical support to Lincoln Electric’s ongoing sales efforts specifically focused upon fume extraction, flexible and hard automation products and services.
Automation is further responsible for the provision of technical support to direct end-user customers for service / maintenance contracts and warrantee related solutions, as well as, troubleshooting and problem solving with respect to customer issues.
The Automation Team is expected to deliver results while contributing to Lincoln Electric’s ongoing business activities and priorities, as well as, meeting internal and external customer requirements in a timely, discreet and ethical manner.
Major Responsibilities
To report directly to the Automation Production and Service Manager and communicate all relevant matters pertaining to assembly and integration of Automation Systems.Troubleshoot and repair of Hard Automation Systems, Cobots, fume systems and other Lincoln Electric Equipments on and off-site including Warranty work.Travel domestically and internationally to commission, train, and service hard automation systems, cobots, and fume extraction systems across Canada, United States and Internationally.Provide technical support to customers by telephone, email etc.Assemble and integrate automation (welding) solutions which could include Robotic, Hard Automation and Environmental systems on and off site.Ensure that all assemblies of systems meet customer requirements and system specifications.Establish and maintain a good rapport (relationship) with customers and suppliers,Maintain accurate and up-to-date monthly expense reports, call record (service), mileage reports.Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment on job sites and in the shopFully abide and actively support Lincoln Electric’s Environmental Health & Safety policies, practices and procedures with respect to protecting the environment, the conservation of nature resources and the Health & Safety of all employees.Participate cooperatively in the Global Performance Management Program.Continually contribute to the profitability of the company and ongoing business operations by initiating, recommending and implanting continuous improvement strategies and initiatives.To fully abide and actively support Lincoln Electric’s Environmental Health & Safety policies, practices and procedures with respect to protecting the environment, the conservation of nature resources and the Health & Safety of all employees.Conduct any general duties, specific projects and responsibilities as assigned or required by the Production and Service Manager or senior management staff in a timely and professional manner.Minimum Education, Experience & Training Requirement
College Diploma in Electro-Mechanical or MechatronicsMinimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing facility with hands on background in Electro-Mechanical system assembly, testing and troubleshootingExperience on repair of welding equipment is a key assetStrong Electrical and Mechanical aptitudeAbility to troubleshoot various types of equipment and read electrical diagramsExperience repairing robotic and/or welding equipment is a definite assetMust have a valid driver’s license, passport and vehicleMust be able to use lifting straps, rigs, fork-lifts etc., to safely position and…
