Licensed Diesel Truck Technician / Mechanic

Position Summary
Staffmax Staffing & Recruiting is currently hiring a Licensed Diesel Truck Technician / Mechanic for our client in Mississauga, Ontario. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced licensed technician looking to join a professional fleet maintenance environment with strong compensation, career advancement potential, and modern equipment.

Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing on trucks and trailersDiagnose mechanical, electrical, and performance issuesRepair engines, transmissions, differentials, fuel systems, brakes, steering, and suspension componentsComplete warranty repairs and service documentationConduct road tests when requiredUse welding equipment, hand tools, power tools, jacks, hoists, and diagnostic systemsInspect brake systems, wheel bearings, steering mechanisms, and other critical componentsReplace worn or damaged parts and ensure equipment meets manufacturer standardsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentComplete work efficiently with minimal supervisionAssist with additional maintenance projects as requiredQualifications
5+ years of tractor-trailer or heavy truck maintenance experienceValid 310T, Red Seal, or equivalent provincial certificationValid Class D or Class 3 licence with air brake endorsement, or ability to obtain within 6 monthsStrong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills on major vehicle systemsExperience using shop tools, welding equipment, and computerized diagnosticsBasic computer proficiencyReliable attendance and professional work ethicAbility to work in a non-climate-controlled environmentOEM training considered an assetPhysical Requirements
