Resto Tech Solutions is an emergency mitigation, restoration and abatement company serving residential, commercial and insurance driven projects across Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

We are hiring Restoration Technicians to work water, fire and environmental losses, from water damage mitigation and structural drying through to mould and asbestos abatement and reconstruction support.

This is a full time field position that combines scheduled restoration and abatement work during regular operations with emergency water response on an on call rotation, so your hours stay steady between events rather than moving with call volume.

IICRC WRT certification is not required to apply. Technicians who already hold it are encouraged to apply.

Technicians who do not are enrolled and funded by Resto Tech, and move to the certified pay band once certified.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency water and fire losses during scheduled on call periods, including after hours and weekend call outs. Load and stage equipment and materials before departing for site, and coordinate with the Operations Manager on scope and site details.
  • Perform water extraction, structural drying setup and containment on active losses. Conduct moisture mapping, place drying equipment based on site conditions, and take psychrometric readings at all monitoring points.
  • Return to sites for daily drying log monitoring and equipment adjustment until the structure is dry, typically over several days following a call. Report site conditions and progress to the coordinator and to the client on site.
  • Carry out restoration and abatement work during regular operations, including demolition, controlled removals, site preparation, and abatement under established containment and safety procedures.
  • Handle contents, pack outs, cleaning and site protection in occupied residential and commercial properties to a professional standard, with attention to client property and client interaction.
  • Support reconstruction alongside our trades, including [carpentry, drywall and flooring assistance], and apply any additional trade skills you bring on the rebuild side of our work.
  • Complete daily documentation in real time, including photographs, moisture readings and drying logs in [Albi], to the standard required by our insurance clients. Documentation must be complete, accurate and submitted before leaving each site, as it directly supports insurance claims.
  • Complete field safety documentation in [Salus], including hazard assessments and inspections. Work within our health and safety program and use required PPE at all times.
  • Stage, maintain and track equipment and inventory at the shop and on site. Conduct equipment checks, report deficiencies promptly, and keep tools and company vehicles in operational condition.
What We Offer
  • Full time, year round hours. The two functions of the role keep your hours consistent through periods of low call volume. This is not call out only work.
  • WRT certification at company cost. Technicians without the certification are enrolled and funded by Resto Tech, subject to a training agreement provided before enrolment.
  • Certified pay band. Technicians move to the certified pay band on obtaining WRT certification, effective on certification, plus overtime and after hours premiums.
  • Full benefits for full time employees.
  • A clear career path. Labour technician to certified technician to lead technician, across our Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba operations.
  • Applied trade skills. Additional trade experience in carpentry, drywall, flooring, painting or plumbing is used on the reconstruction side of our work rather than set aside.
  • Strong operational support from the office and management team. You are not on your own on site.
You Must Have (Non Negotiable)
