Road Technician

Position: Road Technician for City
Become a vital part of the City of Mississauga as a Maintenance Standards Road Technician.

Your role involves ensuring road safety through inspections and timely reporting of defects and hazards.

This full-time on-site technician position focuses on conducting thorough inspections of city roads, sidewalks, and signage to uphold municipal maintenance standards. You will lead inspections, manage reports, and collaborate with emergency response teams when necessary. With a commitment to keeping roads safe, you will work closely with various operational programs, contributing to community well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections of municipal roads and surrounding areas

• Document and report road defects and hazards accurately

• Assist in maintaining road classification system

• Monitor weather conditions for winter maintenance

• Prepare and maintain detailed patrol reports

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering Technology

• At least 2 years of municipal operations experience

• Strong understanding of road maintenance standards

• Proven organizational and time management skills

• Valid Ontario Class ‘G’ driver's license
