Start fleet maintenance training with Ryder in the Greater Toronto Area. Work full time on multiple schedules while gaining practical service shop experience.
As a Technician Trainee, you will work as a Service Employee while learning Ryder's technician role. An assigned mentor will guide your hands-on development in a professional shop environment. The 18-month program includes service island, Technician I, and Technician II training.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform required multi-point inspections on inbound vehicles
- Check tires, fluids, lights, windows, and refrigeration units
- Fuel diesel, natural gas, and hybrid vehicles safely
- Maintain six-sigma fuel island organization and cleanliness
- Complete online and hands-on training requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong technical aptitude and equipment-learning ability
- Time management and priority-setting skills required
- Good attendance and a proven performance record required
- Valid Commercial Driver License Class A preferred
