Use PLC automation and electrical troubleshooting skills as an Electrician maintaining complex production equipment in a food manufacturing environment. Support reliable operations across a 24 hour/day facility.
This Electrician role at Maple Leaf Foods focuses on installing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex production equipment with minimum supervision. You will program and repair industrial automation, including PLCs, HMIs, and related devices. The work includes preventative maintenance, performance checks, and compliance with GMPs, HACCP, WHMIS, and health and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Install, troubleshoot, and repair complex production equipment
- Program and repair PLCs, HMIs, and related devices
- Identify mechanical and electrical problems
- Participate in preventative maintenance procedures
- Recommend and implement equipment performance improvements
- Hold an electrician license
- Bring manufacturing environment experience as an asset
- Maintain a full complement of personal and professional hand tools
- Demonstrate safety consciousness and attention to detail
- Work independently with basic computer and communication skills
