We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager of Cost Accounting to join our team. The Manager of Cost Accounting will be responsible for supervising, mentoring and motivating the Cost Accounting team, working closely with various departments within the organization. This role will provide exposure in a growing and dynamic EV manufacturing environment with opportunities for advancement and professional growth.

The ideal candidate for this role should be a self‑starter and someone who takes personal initiative for continuous improvement.

• Prepare and support the implementation of Inventory and Cost ERP modules. SAP experience desired. Ensure standard costs are accurate by analyzing sales, cost of sales and gross margin.
• Work with operations to ensure inventory accuracy including coordination of statistical inventory audits to ensure annual inventory waiver.
• Facilitate labor study updates and bill of materials audits.
• Monitor and analyze freight costs, including developing freight factors.
• Develop and implement labor, fringes and overhead factors, including budgeting.
• Perform various product profitability analysis.
• Perform buy vs. in-house analysis.
• Support machinery efficiency analysis.
• Support pricing strategy formulation as well as driving pricing actions to enhance profitability from the cost of sales perspective.
• Prepare and review monthly margin forecasts in comparison to actual margins.
• Review specific model cost analysis and bill of material.
• Review month-end journal entries and reconciliations for various accounts.
• Prepare ad hoc margin and cost reports for senior management.
• Supervise, mentor and motivate the cost accounting team.
• Perform internal control reviews and assist with year-end activities.
• Initiate process improvements and assist with special projects.
