Billing Specialist

Job Responsibilities:
- Create and process accurate invoices using accounting software such as Sage, Quick Books, or another ERP system.
- Review and process billing documents and forms accurately and in a timely manner.
- Organize, analyze, and manipulate data in Microsoft Excel on a daily basis.
- Utilize Excel formulas, including IF statements, nested IF statements, arithmetic, and basic statistical functions, to perform calculations and improve efficiency.
- Manage multiple spreadsheets and assist with creating interactive dashboards and reports.
- Monitor Accounts Receivable aging and identify overdue accounts.
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies and billing-related issues.
- Respond to email inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
- Provide administrative and accounting support as needed and assist with special projects.
- Work collaboratively with the AR Manager and other members of the accounting and operations teams.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 2 years of Accounts Receivable, billing, or related accounting experience.
- Construction industry experience is highly preferred.
- Previous experience creating invoices using Sage, Quick Books, or another ERP/accounting system.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including experience with formulas and manipulating data.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of accounting terminology and principles.
- Ability to quickly learn and become proficient in multiple systems and software packages.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
- Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
