Document Control Specialist

The Document Control Specialist reports to the Document Control Coordinator and performs duties as assigned by the Coordinator or Document Control Lead to support services and issuing design and vendor data.

The job is a contract position with Progressive GE.

The Document Control Specialist will:

• Resolve most problems under general supervision but refer more complex issues to higher levels
• Process documents through Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS)
• Quality check documents to ensure accuracy
• Log, track, and expedite inter-discipline design documents
• Create and track Transmittals for document deliverables
• Scan documents as required
• Distribute documents
• Fill requests for copies
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Coordinator or assigned Document Control Lead

• Solid communication skills
• Self-motivated with a desire to grow personally and professionally
• Effective planning and organizational skills
• Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and recall
• Adaptability to change and ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Lotus Notes, Documentum, and Share Point
• Preferred experience in document control management in Oil & Gas
