Launch your automotive career today! Carter Volkswagen in Ballard is looking for a Mobile Technician that will also work in our express shop. For this position, we are looking for a candidate with a basic knowledge of automotive maintenance, preferably someone with 1-2 years of experience. This is an excellent position in the Automotive field with great potential for advancement. We provide the training you need to become an experienced technician.

You provide a great attitude, a desire to succeed, and the ability to multi-task.

$21.50 an hour

Tuesday - Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm (Express and Mobile Work)

Saturday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm (Express Work Only)

• Check and communicate oil level to teammates
• Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation
• Inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary
• Complete vehicle inspection
• Install a new oil drain plug and a new oil filter
• Clean and lubricate fittings as needed
• Providing excellent customer service keeping in mind that our customer’s perspective comes first

• 1-2 years of automotive technician experience
• Communication skills – communicates effectively with others
• Time management – managing one’s own time and time of others
• Basic computer skills
• WA state driver's license is required
• Clean & Clear WA state driving record is required
• Pre-employment background check, reference check & drug screen is required
