Job Overview
Located in Byhalia, MS, this position is part of a new state‑of‑the‑art medical device sterilization facility. The role provides direct supervision to Facilities Maintenance associates and site facilities contractors, ensuring the maintenance of the factory building, surrounding premises, production plant service, and electrical systems while adhering to quality and EHS standards.
Key Responsibilities- Preventive and routine maintenance of building and production equipment.
- Overhaul and modification of plant equipment.
- Emergency repair of buildings, equipment, and utility systems.
- Complete in‑house janitorial service and ground maintenance.
- Site environmental compliance programs and permitting.
- Liaison to public utility, environmental, and energy agencies.
- Ensure electrical and mechanical work conforms to codes and regulations.
- Safety Officer: train employees in safety hazards and protective measures.
- Maintain operational flexibility and improve plant utilities efficiency.
- Plan and monitor monthly budget accuracy.
- Coordinate facilities work to meet specifications, regulatory, quality, and safety standards.
- Support the Functional Manager with day‑to‑day activities.
- Develop and monitor operational budgets for internal and contracted resources.
- Implement business continuity, energy/sustainability initiatives, and infrastructure management programs.
- Work with the Facilities team on site amenities and employee services (fitness, parking, food, landscaping, security).
- Build relationships with local, regional, and state governments for site and community relations.
- Provide change‑management leadership for Facilities strategies and initiatives.
- Establish a culture of high performance and continuous improvement through metrics and best‑practice sharing.
- Collaborate with Site/Campus Leaders to ensure alignment across regions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering preferred.
- 4–7 years of related experience, preferably in a production / manufacturing environment.
- Experience supervising or leading others.
- Strong knowledge of logistics operations and industry.
- Proficient in determining logistics requirements to enable business goals.
- Strong financial and analytical abilities.
- Proven track record in change management, continuous productivity, and cost‑reduction programs.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and email.
