Agriculture Market Team Leader

Job Title

First-level supervisory position accountable for assisting in the planning, directing, and coordinating regulatory, promotional, or assistive services and programs affecting agricultural or agribusiness industries in the state.

Duties may be in areas such as animal health, plant industries, weights and measures, grain inspection and warehousing, market development or promotion. Positions at this level are responsible for budget and grants management. Employee supervision includes hire decisions, training oversight, and performance assessment, coaching, and progressive discipline. Supervision at this level also requires these employees to have the knowledge and skills to perform and review the work overseen.

This position is located at MSP. (This is a Non-State (X-16) position).

What you'll need to be successful: A successful candidate exhibits excellent supervisor qualities to provide leadership to lower level staff, excellent communication skills, applies good judgement, is organized, pays close attention to details, meets deadlines, follows and enforces rules/policies/procedures, and promotes teamwork. Preferred Qualifications Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of experience in agricultural programs.
