Salary: $85,000–$95,000 annually
Schedule: Full-time, onsite
Department: Contracts / Business Operations
We are seeking a Contracts Administrator with direct government-contracting experience to support commercial and federal aerospace manufacturing programs. This position supports contracts from initial review through modification, compliance, performance tracking, and closeout.
The successful candidate must have hands-on familiarity with FAR and DFARS requirements. This is not a general administrative assistant position. Candidates without government or federal contract-administration experience will not be considered.
Responsibilities- Review government and commercial contracts, purchase orders, NDAs, teaming agreements, and terms and conditions.
- Identify unusual terms, compliance concerns, and contractual risks for senior review.
- Prepare and route contract modifications, amendments, change orders, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and audit-ready contract files.
- Monitor contract deliverables, milestones, funding, payment terms, and reporting requirements.
- Update customer portals and internal ERP records.
- Assist with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and export-control documentation.
- Prepare and distribute contractual flow-down requirements.
- Support internal and external government-contract audits.
- Review RFPs and RFQs and assist with proposal documentation.
- Develop proposal-compliance matrices and track contractual requirements.
- Coordinate pricing reviews with Finance.
- Support fixed-price and cost-reimbursable contracts.
- Work with Program Management, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance.
- Support contract closeout and final document archiving.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Contract Management, or a directly related field.
- 3+ years professional contract-administration experience.
- Direct experience supporting government, federal, DoD, or NASA contracts.
- Working knowledge of FAR and DFARS requirements.
- Experience reviewing contract terms, purchase orders, modifications, amendments, or change orders.
- Exposure to fixed-price and cost-reimbursable contracts.
- Experience maintaining compliant contract files and supporting audit readiness.
- Experience using an ERP system and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to independently identify contractual risks and elevate complex matters appropriately.
- Ability to work onsite in Columbus, Mississippi.
- Aerospace, defense, aviation, or regulated manufacturing.
- Prime contract and subcontract administration.
- ITAR and export-control documentation.
- Supplier flow-down requirements.
- RFP/RFQ and proposal support.
- NCMA certification or progress toward CFCM or CCCM certification.
- Security-clearance eligibility.
