Senior Project Manager / Estimator - Industrial Plumbing
Location: Charlotte, NC
Salary Range: $95,000 - $110,000
Role OverviewThis role is responsible for managing industrial plumbing projects from start to finish while also handling estimating and bidding for new work. The position is based in Charlotte, NC and focuses on delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget. You will lead project teams, work directly with clients, coordinate with subcontractors and vendors, and ensure all work meets quality and code requirements.
This is a senior-level role that combines project execution, financial oversight, and estimating expertise.
- Manage large industrial plumbing projects, including new construction, upgrades, and retrofits
- Plan project schedules, manpower, materials, and budgets
- Oversee daily jobsite activities and subcontractor performance
- Conduct site visits to track progress, resolve issues, and ensure safety compliance
- Ensure projects meet code, quality, and safety standards
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
- Develop and manage project budgets
- Review and approve invoices, purchase orders, and change orders
- Track job costs and profitability
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals
- Perform material and labor take-offs
- Coordinate pricing with vendors and suppliers
- Prepare clear scopes of work and respond to bid clarifications
- Lead, mentor, and support project managers, engineers, and field teams
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and strong communication
- Support training and professional development within the team
- Assist with identifying new project opportunities
- Support proposal preparation when needed
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat work
- Strong background in industrial plumbing project management
- Experience with estimating and bidding plumbing projects
- Solid understanding of construction budgets, schedules, and contracts
- Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Comfortable using project management and estimating software
- Problem-solver who can work under deadlines
