Customer Service Representative IV

The Customer Service Representative IV serves as the Welcome Center Supervisor and is responsible for managing and supervising employees and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the state's welcome center located in Woodville. This is a state service position. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Supervise and direct the Travel Counselors at the Welcome Center.
• Oversee the daily operational functions of the Welcome Center.
• Provide information to the traveling public.
• Direct tourists and answer questions regarding attractions, accommodations, historic sites, mileage, geography, culture, heritage, and shopping areas.
• Attend training programs, seminars, familiarization trips, and special meetings.
• Prepare assignments from workshops/seminars for submission to the Jackson office by the deadline.
• Plan, organize, and implement activities and events held at the Welcome Center.
• Participate in Chamber of Commerce, tourism, and civic activities in the local community.
• Serve as an official representative of the state.

Demonstrates exceptional communication skills, delivers high-quality customer service, maintains strong attention to detail, and exhibits effective supervisory capabilities. Preferred qualifications typically require a High School Diploma or equivalent and 5-7 years of experience.
