Minimum Qualifications Summary Certification & Education
* Six (6) years’ leadership and instructor experience in a formal training environment with no degree, or four (4) years’ leadership and instructor experience in a formal training environment with a degree or certificate in either Education or Instructional Development.
* US Navy Master Training Specialist (MTS) certification or another agency equivalent. Experience Required
* Four (4) years’ experience as a Navy Enlisted Qualification (NEC 805A) Instructor or sister service equivalent.
* Six (6) years’ experience in course curriculum management.
* Five (5) years’ experience in oral communication principles, methods and techniques.
* Shall be fluent in English. Ability to also speak fluently in Spanish and/or French is preferred.
* Five (5) years of military leadership and training experience in providing and planning instruction aimed for an international military audience.
* Courses taught incorporate the use of dynamic and static small arms “Live Fire” action during course of instruction.
* Shall be able to maintain Level 1 Fitness Standard
* Be able to work non-standard schedules Job Objective Provide logistics support and training to the Special Boat Training Command (SBTC) to meet Conditions and Standards set forth in the Training Curriculum in the following areas:
Strategic Leader International Course, Mission Command Fundamentals, Patrol Craft Officer-Coastal, Patrol Craft Officer-Riverine, Outboard Motor and Diesel Systems Overhaul and Maintenance, Technical Welding and Repair, International Small Arms Maintenance, International Tactical Communications Course, Instructor Development Course, Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Operations and Planning, Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV) Operations and Planning, Patrol Craft Advanced Training-Riverine course. Responsibilities
* Assist with development, instructional support, and training analysis for operational and logistical requirements to support SBTC. Employ expertise in the methodology of curriculum, question and test development, effective classroom and lab instructional techniques, employment of training aids, student progress measurement strategies and course management. The subject matter expertise and responsibilities include developing, revising, and maintaining courses of instruction
* Assist with the management of assigned courses.
* Assist with training analysis, instructional support, and utilize skills in the methodology of curriculum and test question development, effective classroom instructional techniques, employment of training aids, student progress measurement strategies and course management.
* Utilize written and oral communication principles, methods, and techniques; analytical methods; and interpersonal relations practices.
* Assist in analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum for assigned courses, to determine the need for new or revised curricula. Shall communicate with the Government Representative, Training Officer and Learning Standards Officer (LSO), boat drivers, engineers, technicians, contractors, vendors, and manufacturers to assist in the development of new curricula.
* Assist with coordinating schedules between Operational, Communications and Maintenance related courses to support end of course Field Training Exercises (FTX).
* Assist in revising, developing, and implementing long range plans to anticipate and incorporate new procedures and technological developments into the respective curriculums.
* Assist with training analysis and instructional support for various weapon systems as provided, outboard engines, navigation, and communications equipment.
* Assist with evaluating training aids and providing recommendations to determine need for upgrades or changes.
* Be able to provide instruction and information regarding the inspection, preventative maintenance, modification, technological developments, and operation of SOF unique watercraft.
