The academic classroom instructor has the responsibility to deliver quality instruction through classes as assigned, to advise students in preparation for graduation and/or credential attainment, to follow policies and procedures as established by the college, and to support college programs and activities. The academic classroom instructor reports to the appropriate Division Chairperson, Dean, or Vice President.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesMinimum
Job Requirements:
- Master’s degree in the subject to be taught or a Master’s degree and 18 graduate course hours in the subject to be taught.

- Previous teaching experience
- Previous college teaching experience
- Previous experience teaching woodwind instruments
- Previous Color Guard experience
- Experience with electronic resources and instructional technology
The work environment is an office/classroom setting with moderate noise. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
