Summary:

Copiah-Lincoln Community College has an opening for a Workforce Utility Lineworker Program Instructor. Primarily responsible for organizing and carrying out structured learning processes for students. This position reports to the Executive Director of Workforce Education and Workforce Coordinator/Trainer.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plans lessons and teaches Utility Lineworker Program students in the classroom and at the pole yard.
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates student learning activities.
  • Provides a positive role model for the students, especially in areas of caring, respect for self and others, collegiality, ethical behavior, ethical reasoning, and strong work ethic (including responsibility, dependability, and accountability), and provides constructive feedback to students.
  • Demonstrates proper skills operations for students.
  • Oversees the safe operation and use of equipment when being used by students, ensuring that the company policy and standards are being adhered to.
  • Collaborates with the Workforce Program Coordinator on curriculum, supplies, and curriculum needs.
  • Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • 5 years of utility lineman experience
    • Class A CDL

    Prefered

    Qualifications:

    • At least ten (10) years of related practical work experience as a Utility Lineworker Program Instructor.
